A truly beautiful well kept campground I will surely be returning to in the future. It was split into an upper level and lower level. The lower level is a much better camping deal since the upper level is lacking in sewer hookups and has no shower and toilet facilities. It’s a long walk to the lower level to get to the bathroom/shower facilities. The upper level is also on a fairly steep hill but the lots were well done and fairly level.

The lower level host’s nice lawns and landscaping with all the amenities that you would expect for the large RV. It’s very rare that I find lots with nice lawns on them but you will find them here.

The camp store was small and lacking in food but directly across the street was a typical Vermont country store with food, soft ice cream and a good deli.

You will find the parks staff very friendly and responsive to any problems you might have with your lot. We had a snowy picture with our cable and it was fixed within 30 minutes of reporting the problem.

Get your reservations early for this campsite. It’s popular and has a lot of return visitors.

A pleasant campsite nestled into the heart of the high peaks area of the Adirondack Mountains. A campsite I will definitely visit again in the future and highly recommend to anybody who enjoys a truly rustic campsite. The RV sites were spacious and very well shaded but a lot of sand, some of the sand was deep.

The tent sites and cabins were some of the most rustic and beautiful I have ever seen, some with a fantastic river valley view.

I cannot however recommend this campsite for anybody mobility impaired. Very little consideration for the mobility impaired has been taken and the deep sand in some areas would be very difficult. I had a power wheelchair and was able to get around but with some difficulty. The registration/store was also very difficult to get around in.

If your not mobility impaired you will want to visit this campground many times. We had a good time in our weekend visit with snow still viable in the high peaks.

Gas in the area is very expensive. The highest prices on the east coast that we have found $3.95 per gallon for Mobil regular. If your coming south to north fill up in Warrensburg for the last reasonable gas prices.

This was a pleasant campground, clean and well kept. The wooded sites are very small and a large rig would have problems, the wooded sites appear to be for tents and popups. They do however have pull through sites for large rigs with full hook ups in a field; unfortunately these sites offer very little shade. We visited in July and it was plenty hot. The camp store is very nice and fairly well stocked, you can also get tours of Washington through the campground, but not if you’re in a wheelchair. The tour buses have no wheelchair lifts. Where the campground is situated is a very nice but in not to many miles you can end up in some very rough city areas. I don’t recommend sightseeing without a guide.

This is a nice campground in the middle of paradise. My wife and I spent 6 days basking in the sun here and can’t wait to go back. The only negative things I could find wrong were very close sites and a big lacking of shade trees, but the sheer beauty of the area will blind you to any imperfections. The website for this campground does not do it justice. You can camp right on the water with a beautiful beach in front of you. The camp store is first class as well as all of the facilities, including a beachfront pub with a couple of hilarious bar tenders who make strong drinks and a nice café to get breakfast and lunch.
The Florida, Keys makes for a wonderful vacation in a place where everybody likes to party and eat good food. The campground is fully wheelchair accessible but steep ramps to the shower/bathroom/laundry building.

My wife and I both enjoyed this small but well kept campsite. It’s a great website to just get away from it all and relax for a few days. They have recently added a small café where you can get a pizza and a great cup of gourmet coffee. The managers and staff are friendly and always willing to give you a hand. You will have no problem getting around with the big rigs here even though it’s a well shaded campground. The only thing I found disappointing was the lack of wheelchair accessibility. Two other people in wheelchairs were at the campground during our last visit.

On our road trip from upstate NY to Key West this KOA campground was the worst experience of the trip. It took two days to clean all the mud out of the camper and it was not wheelchair accessible to even get into the office to register. The campground looks like it was designed by a ten year old and a Tonka Dozer.
The Shenandoah Valley is beautiful but be ready for some very steep and long hills that will really suck up some gas.

A campground I will surely return to. The sites are spacious and many well shaded sites are available. The store is well stocked, clean and appears to be relatively new. If you like to fish they have a stocked bass pond as well. This is your typical well run and clean KOA. Tours are offered for the surrounding area and Washington.
Wheelchair accessible office and facilities.
